Why do I need an Owner Builders Warranty Report?
Legislation in NSW prevents the sale of a residential property where building works have been carried out in excess of $12,000 by the owner unless a Certificate of Warranty Insurance has been attached to the contract. This limitation is applicable for 6 years from the date of completion of the building works and the insurance is designed to protect subsequent purchasers from faulty or incomplete building work by owner builders.
